Description
Sun Yat-Sen was inaugurated as the first President of China in 1912 in Nanjing. Sun is often pictured in western clothes as he advocated functional dress over ceremonial dress. Sun was a highly cosmopolitan figure and drew heavily from western sources, both political and spiritual.
